Biography
Mr. Delgado is a logistics & trade expert. Originally from Bogota, his early professional career found him working in Central and South America developing his skill in hardware, materials andconstruction, retail, chemicals, pharmaceutical andpersonal care industries. During this time he was able to work from regional giants such as Casa Estrella (recently acquired by Falabella group), Zubiola, Home Colombia, Groupo V&V, Repremundo, and Laboratorios BEST.
Applying his early love for business, Alex studied international commerce, logistics, and supply chain management where post graduation he worked at la Zona Franca Bogota, and in 2004 was recruited by RIMO IE Panama.
Four years later, in his pursuit of Asian culture and commerce, he left his lucrative tenure at RIMO to open RG4 in Hong Kong. As a trading and consultancy firm RG4 allowed Alex to expand his entrepreneurism in addition to developing trade innovations in product development at a global pace.
In 2015, Mr. Delgado cofounded GCD a company focused on developing lifestyle and luxury items for Chinese consumers. Also known as “The Maker” in his professional network, Alex spends the majority of his time helping startups in Asia. Fluent in Mandarin, Alex holds an MBA from La Sabana University.
